Our Promise

Quality you can count on.

Every cannabis product on our shelves comes from Oregon's regulated market and is tested by licensed labs for potency and contaminants. We choose growers, processors and brands we trust, and our team checks products before they reach you.

Even so, hardware can occasionally fail and packaging can sometimes be damaged. When that happens, we want to know. Our warranty covers genuine product defects, so you can shop in store or online knowing we've got your back.

Because cannabis is a regulated product, Oregon law limits what can be returned and resold. That's why our policy focuses on defects rather than change-of-mind returns. Any cannabis product returned to us is handled and disposed of in line with OLCC rules and is never resold.

What's Covered

Our warranty covers genuine defects.

If a product is faulty through no fault of your own, we'll replace it with the same item, swap it for a product of equal value, or give you store credit.

Vape cartridges

Cartridges that won't draw, leak heavily, clog permanently or don't connect properly to a working 510-thread battery, when more than half the oil is left. Report within 7 days of purchase.

Disposable vapes

All-in-one disposables that won't activate, won't charge (where rechargeable) or stop working before most of the oil has been used. Report within 7 days of purchase.

Vape batteries

Batteries that won't charge or power on under normal use. Report within 30 days of purchase, or as covered by the manufacturer's own warranty if longer.

Damaged or incorrect orders

Products that arrive with broken seals, damaged packaging, or that aren't what you ordered. Let us know before you leave the store, or within 48 hours for delivered and shipped orders.

Accessories

Grinders, glass, papers and other accessories are covered by the manufacturer's warranty where one applies. Bring the item and receipt and we'll help you with the claim or an exchange.

Product quality concerns

If you believe a cannabis product has a quality issue, such as mould or an unusual smell or appearance, stop using it and contact us right away. We'll look into it with the producer.

What's Not Covered

A few exceptions.

To keep things fair and to follow Oregon's rules for regulated products, our warranty does not cover:

  • Change of mind, or not enjoying the effects, flavour or strength of a product.
  • Opened or partly used flower, pre-rolls, edibles, tinctures, topicals or concentrates, unless they are defective.
  • Cartridges with less than half the oil remaining.
  • Damage caused by dropping, water, heat, misuse, or using a cartridge with an incompatible or high-voltage battery.
  • Products bought from another retailer.
  • Claims made after the time limits on this page.
Tips

Getting the most from your vape.

Most cartridge problems can be avoided with a little care. Store carts upright at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and away from hot cars. Use a 510-thread battery on a low to medium voltage setting, take gentle draws, and don't over-tighten the cartridge when attaching it.

If a cart feels clogged, try warming it gently in your hand for a minute or using your battery's preheat setting before taking a slow draw. Still not working? Bring it in and our team will take a look.

How to Make a Claim

Three simple steps.

Keep your proof of purchase

Keep your receipt, or your order number for online orders. We use it to confirm the date and details of your purchase.

Bring it back or contact us

Bring the product, in its original packaging, to our store at 3270 Market St NE, Salem, along with your receipt and valid photo ID. For delivered or shipped orders, contact us through our Contact page with your order number and photos of the issue.

We'll make it right

Our team will inspect the product and, if it's covered, replace it, exchange it for an item of equal value, or give you store credit.

Questions

Warranty FAQs.

Can I return cannabis if I don't like it?

Unfortunately not. Because cannabis is a regulated product that can't be resold, we can only accept returns for products that are defective, damaged or incorrect. Our budtenders are always happy to help you choose the right product before you buy.

Do you give cash refunds?

Approved warranty claims are resolved with a replacement, an exchange for a product of equal value, or store credit.

Do I need my receipt?

Yes. A receipt or online order number helps us confirm your purchase. If you've lost your receipt, let us know, as we may be able to find your purchase in our system.

Do I need to bring ID to make a claim?

Yes. As with any visit to a cannabis store, you'll need a valid government-issued photo ID showing you're 21 or older, or your OMMP card and photo ID.

My order was damaged during shipping. What should I do?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the packaging and product. We'll arrange a replacement or store credit once we've reviewed the claim.

What happens to products I return?

Returned cannabis products are never resold. They are recorded and destroyed or returned to the producer in line with OLCC rules.

This warranty policy is in addition to any rights you have under Oregon and U.S. consumer protection law. The Joint on Market reserves the right to inspect products before approving a claim and to update this policy at any time. Last updated: October 2026.
